William “Red” Holzman secured his place in New York basketball history when he brought two World Championships to New York in 1970 and ’73. To this day, they are the only two NBA titles the Big Apple has had the pleasure of celebrating. These two elegant pairs of cufflinks (4 total individual cufflinks) made with 18-karat gold on Sterling Silver were presented to the Knicks Hall of Fame coach Red Holzman after each of those two Championships. The two pairs are virtually identical with a stylized gold basketball at center surrounded by a ring of silver engraved with “NEW YORK KNICKS” and Red’s initials “W.H.” The cufflinks show moderate wear and handling and are hallmarked on the back “TIFFANY & CO. 18K ON STERLING.” Two beautiful works of jewelry craftsmanship honoring the Knicks glory days in the ‘70s, thanks in large part to their tough-minded head coach. The cufflinks come from the late Red Holzman’s personal collection with an LOA from his family.
