The Bob Cousy Humanitarian Award was created in the name of the star of the 1947 Holy Cross NCAA Championship team and six-time NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics. Red Auerbach was the chosen recipient of this award in 1996. A printed statement on the award itself identifies the design as a cylindrical thread rolling die like those used in the automotive and aerospace industries. The heavy metal award measures 5" tall. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
