On April 24th, 1977 the Boston Celtics commemorated the 20th Anniversary of their first World Championship in 1957 by presenting Red Auerbach with this 14" (diam.) pewter tray. The engraving reads, "Presented to Arnold 'Red' Auerbach April 24, 1977 from the Celtics family in commemoration of the Boston Celtics first NBA Championship April 13th, 1957 at Boston Garden." The detailed engraving also includes the entire box score for the final game of the 1957 NBA Finals between the Celtics and the St. Louis Hawks and a series recap. The tray shows minor wear with some adhesive residue on back from wall mounting. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
