This rather humorous 15” tall trophy was presented to Red after the conclusion of his final year of coaching the Boston Celtics. It features a figural brass football atop a wood base. An engraved plaque on the base reads, “Presented With Respect to Arnold 'Red' Auerbach September 22, 1966 Tub Thumpers - Boston Mass. - Sorry 'Red', They Didn't Have Your Kind of Balls!.” The trophy shows minimal wear and retains outstanding display quality. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
