This original 10" by 13" ink and watercolor artwork was created by Frank Lanning and gifted to Red upon the occasion of Red Auerbach Night held at the Rhode Island Auditorium on March 4, 1966. The caricature art features a "kingly" Red standing atop the basketball world with the proclamation, "Arnold 'Red' Auerbach World's Greatest basketball Coach." The framed piece was appreciated by Red enough to earn a place of honor on display in his Boston office. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
