Bibb Falk played Major League baseball for twelve seasons (1920 to 1931) as an outfielder for the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians. He made his debut on July 17, 1920 as a member of the 1920 White Sox, a team rebuilt after a World Series gambling scandal enveloped the 1919 team. In spite of Falk posting impressive career numbers including a .314 batting average in 1,354 games with the White Sox and Indians, he will forever be remembered as the player who replaced Shoeless Joe Jackson in the White Sox's outfield after Jackson was banned from baseball.

Falk’s bold blue ink autograph adorns the sweet spot of this OAL (Brown) baseball. The ball is mildly toned with light general handling wear but the signature rates a vivid 8-9/10. A truly rare single from an unsung player with a notable distinction. Falk passed away in 1989.

Full LOA from PSA DNA. Also comes with a letter of provenance from the daughter of a longtime MLB executive whose name will be revealed to the winning bidder.
