Offered is a pair of fine looking participation medals from the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. The medals are bronze finished and are both in NM or better condition in our opinion. Each medal's face features a rendering of the "BIRDS NEST" stadium that was heavily featured throughout the most important track and field events during the games along with the opening and closing ceremonies. Stamped onto the faces are the "Beijing 2008" Olympic logo and around the perimeter reads, "Games of the XXIX Olympiad" and "Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games." Each face features that same text but rendered in Chinese characters. The obverse of the Olympic and Paralympic medals feature elevated Chinese figures with "One World One Dream" along with a translated version in Chinese characters.
