This lot features a pair of championship horse-racing awards that were earned at the New York Racing Association’s Belmont Park in the mid-‘80’s. The first is a beautiful sterling silver hallmarked, one-handled pitcher to commemorate a victory in The Matron by “Over All” in 1987. Measuring nine inches tall and 10 inches wide and weighing 2.25 lbs. (1,026 grams to be exact), the impressive pitcher, manufactured by Dublin Pattern, is specially engraved on the front with the following text: “New York Racing Association, The Matron. BELMONT 1987 Won by Eugene V. Klein’s "OVER ALL.”

The second item is actually a silver plated serving tray that went as part of the championship pieces presented to the winning team of “Family Style” – also owned by Klein – at the 1985 running of The Frizette at Belmont Park. The beautifully crafted serving tray with one handle measures 13 inches wide by nine inches deep by two inches tall.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the San Diego Hall of Champions.
