Luka Doncic came into the NBA as one of the most hyped European players ever. He has lived up to that hype and then some, winning Rookie of the Year, making three All-NBA First Teams, and most recently leading his Dallas Mavericks to the 2022 Western Conference Finals. After the playoffs, he was selected to his third consecutive All-NBA First Team, becoming the third player to do so in his first four seasons, joining Tim Duncan and Larry Bird as the only players to do so since the merger. His flashy style of play seems to make highlight reels on a nightly basis.
On September 29, 2018, Luka donned his Dallas jersey for the first time in an NBA preseason game against the Beijing Ducks at the American Airlines center in Dallas. The Mavericks phenom dropped 16 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in his rookie debut preseason game. About a month later, Luka made his regular season home debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves and had a strong 26 points on 50% shooting from the field.
