Nice pairing of Yankees gamers pounded with use. First, we have a circa 1999-2001 Alfonso Soriano Louisville Slugger C243 professional model block letter black bat (34.5", 34-oz.) from the slugging second baseman's rookie era. A plethora of ball marks along the hitting surface coupled with many stitch, rack and spike marks indicate use over several games. It has a V-crack in the label and has a custom crisscrossed tape job on the handle along with significant pine tar running up the label. In 2001, Soriano finished third in the AL Rookie of the Year voting, batting .268 with 18 homers and 73 RBI as the Yanks came oh-so-close to winning their fifth World Series in six seasons.

The 2007 Johnny Damon BWP 243 professional model two-toned maple bat (34", 32.5 oz.) with a cupped end has "4" engraved on the knob (length indicator) and has a few minor cracks in the upper handle. The barrel is covered with ball contact marks and stitch impressions from extensive game use over several games as well. Damon went from the Red Sox to the Evil Empire in 2006 after helping Boston break the Bambino's curse in 2004. Ironically, the Sox won their second series of the decade the same season he swung this piece of lumber.
