This framed display brings together early 1950’s signed letters from two generations of New York Yankees stars, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. A young Mickey Mantle signed this typed and undated autograph response on Yankees letterhead in 5/10 black ink. The veteran DiMaggio’s signature is on a 1950 typed response for his appearance at the Brooklyn Amateur Baseball Foundation. Joltin' Joe has signed the Yankees stationary at the bottom in 6/10 black fountain pen. Both letters show toning from age as well as slight horizontal folds from mailing. The pair have been professionally mounted and framed to approximately 17x24, making it a very attractive display of one Yankees star at the end of his career and another at the very beginning.
