Pair of very nice National League team signed baseballs from the 1942 All-Star game offered here. The 10th edition of the Midsummer Classic was played at the Polo Grounds in New York. The AL won in a well-pitched contest, 3-1, getting home runs from Lou Boudreau and Rudy York. Mickey Owen homered for the NL's only run.

1) OAL (Harridge) ball has 30 signatures including Hall of Famers Mel Ott, Joe Medwick (SS), Arky Vaughan, Enos Slaughter, Carl Hubbell, Billy Herman, Johnny Mize, Al Lopez and Leo Durocher. Others notables are Owen, Walters, Elliott, Moore, Derringer, Reiser, Wyatt, E. Milller, McCormick and Passeau (SS). Strong blue ink signatures average 7-8/10. Very light and even toning on this soft cream-colored ball (NM). McKechnie and Gowdy deemed clubhouse.

2) Reach Official League ball holds 32 signatures including Hall of Famers Mel Ott, Joe Medwick (SS), Arky Vaughan, Enos Slaughter, Johnny Mize, Al Lopez and Leo Durocher. It has many of the same autographs as the other ball, only not in as bold and consistent strokes. A mix of blue and black ink ranging 5-7/10 on a more toned and lightly soiled ball. Danning, Herman and both Hubbell signatures deemed clubhouse. Notation "National Champs 1941 Detroit" in unknown hand.

Each ball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
