This is a great collection of signed team balls from the back-to-back pennant winning 1936 and 1937 New York Giants plus the 1938 team that finished in third place. The first 1936 ball has 23 signatures including Hall of Famers Mel Ott, Travis Jackson and Carl Hubbell with Frank Gabler, Roy Spencer, Gus Mancuso, Slick Castleman, Jimmie Ripple, Hal Schumacher, Kiddo Davis, Harry Danning, Fred Fitzsimmons, Sam Leslie, Dick Bartell, Al Smith, Joe Moore, Hank Leiber, Eddie Mayo, Mark Koenig, Harry Gumbert, Burgess Whitehead and Dick Coffman. The Bill Terry is a clubhouse signature. The black fountain pen signatures have faded to different degrees but all are readily legible to the naked eye.

The second 1936 ball has faded to a greater degree but the following signatures are legible: Bill Terry (clubhouse), Mel Ott, Joe Moore, Dick Coffman, Burgess Whitehead and Gus Mancuso. 24 members of the repeat pennant winning 1937 team has signed a well-used Spalding Official National League ball including Hall of Famers Mel Ott and Carl Hubbell plus Mickey Haslin, Harry Gumbert, Dick Coffman, Phil Weintraub, Cliff Melton, Al Smith, Wally Berger, Blondy Ryan, Johnny McCarthy, Joe Moore, Sam Leslie, Jimmie Ripple, Freddie Fitzsimmons, Gus Mancuso, Dick Bartell, Burgess Whitehead and Hank Leiber. The Bill Terry is a clubhouse signature. The ball shows some scuff marks, presumably from use, and the black fountain pen signatures have faded to a varying degree, though the majority are easily readable.

The last ball is the 1938 Giants, of which xx have signed the ball including Hall of Famers Mel Ott and Carl Hubbell plus Alex Kampouris, Dick Coffman, Sam Leslie, Bill Lohrman, Jack McCathy, Cliff Melton, Harry Gumbert, Jimmie Ripple, John Wittig, Slick Castleman, Joe Moore, Hal Schumacher, Hy Vandenberg, Harry Danning, Bill Cissell, Bob Seeds, Walter Brown, Dick Bartell, George Myatt, Gus Mancuso and Tom Baker. The Bill Terry has been deemed a clubhouse. The Spalding Official League ball shows some heavy staining to the surface but the black fountain pen signatures are all easily identified.

Sourced from the estate of a former MLB player whose identity will remain anonymous. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
