This unique 5 by 3 ¾ inch vintage photo of the two great pitchers represents one of only two images ever captured of the two together. "Mathewson" identification written on an accompanying cut is in Walter's own hand. The photo was taken in March 1911 in Atlanta Georgia on the occasion of an exhibition game capturing the first ever meeting of Johnson then just 23 years old and Mathewson.
