Football Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson, perhaps the most notorious NFL legend in history, was granted parole in July after serving a nine-year prison sentence in Nevada for armed robbery and kidnapping. He was recently released from Lovelock Correctional Center, so lock your doors! The original crime Simpson was accused of in 1994, the double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, was one he walked away from following his acquittal in October of 1995. During his incarceration at the Los Angeles County Jail during the double-murder trial, “ORENTHAL JAMES SIMPSON” was issued a California Class C driver’s license (#S0444430) on June 8, 1995. That very license is now up for bid.
Measuring three-and-five-sixteenths inches wide by two-and-one-eighth inches high, the well-worn license, which shows peeling around the edges and includes a single strip of scotch tape on the right side, was sourced through one of Simpson’s ex-bodyguards named Gerald. Interesting, perhaps due to his incarceration at the time, Simpson’s address on the license reflects the former business address of O.J. Simpson Enterprises: “11661 San Vicente Bl., STE. 632, Los Angeles, CA 90049.” The license includes all of Simpson’s vital signs: SEX: M, HAIR: BLK, EYES: BRN, HT: 6-02, WT: 212, DOB: 07-09-47.” The expiration date of the license reads “07-09-99.”
Our consignor acquired this Simpson's drivers license from O.J.'s former bodyguard, Gerald, who is
