Presented here is an unofficial "American League" sphere signed by the most celebrated man in the history of sports. This creamy ball is stamped "Western Auto Stores-A National Institution" and is marked "5 oz. 9 in. Cushioned Cork Center." The ball has an age defying appearance with no significant blemishes to report. While such details in this description are a necessity, observers naturally gravitate to the sweet spot. This particular hallowed ground will not disappoint, as a prominent, black-ink, "Babe Ruth" signature has been penned in its rightful place. The graceful signature is clean and abundantly legible. Critically, we note very minor imbalances in the pressure applied to its characters, and light abrasions on the covering, touching the “e” in “Babe” and "th" in "Ruth." That said, the signature still projects with clarity and distinction. A fabulous artifact from the immortal Sultan of Swat.
