During his time at the University of Cincinnati, Oscar Robertson produced a string of statistics and records that made him the best collegiate athlete of the late 50’s. His finest season may have been as a junior when the Bearcats point guard scored 45 points, 23 rebounds and 10 assists in a game against rival Indiana State. He was the NCAA’s leading scorer, a First Team All-American and was named the Helms College Player of the Year, the UPI Player of the Year and the Sporting News College Player of the Year. This trophy celebrates that unbelievable 1958-59 season with the University of Cincinnati.

The 21” tall trophy features a silver colored urn topped with a golden basketball player holding a ball aloft. The urn is mounted on a 5”x 5” mahogany wood base upon which is mounted a plaque reading “DELL CRYSTAL BALL ALL-AMERICA - 1959 OSCAR ROBERTSON Cincinnati Forward.” The trophy weighs 5 lbs. and is in excellent condition, standing as a tribute to one of the finest college seasons ever. Includes LOA from Oscar Robertson.

PLEASE NOTE: Oscar will donate a portion of his auction proceeds to the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center and LeBow Institute for Myeloma Therapeutics at Dana Farber. This renowned cancer treatment center “provides comprehensive care to patients with multiple myeloma, including promising new therapies through clinical trials rooted in an approach that brings laboratory discoveries quickly to the clinical setting” (https://www.dana-farber.org/multiple-myeloma-program).
