A classic image of Hank Greenburg waving his cap to the cheering fans in Detroit during Game 5 of the 1940 fall classic.  Greenburg had just hit a dinger into the upper left field stands driving in McCosky and Gehringer and before heading back onto the field the ovation was enticing enough for Greenburg to salute the fans with a wave of his cap. The striking 8" x 6 1/2" photograph is crystal clear with no surface wear and only flaw is a tiny crack in the upper right corner. Verso has full caption intact and is stamped "ACME NEWSPAPERS."  Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA TYPE I.
