In 1941, the New York Yankees, managed by Joe McCarthy and led on the field by the likes of Joe DiMaggio, Charlie Keller, Lefty Gomez, Bill Dickey and Phil Rizzuto, won the American League pennant with a record of 101-53 before blasting the Brooklyn Dodgers in five games in the World Series. This lot offers a November 1941 issue of Baseball Magazine that features a black and white team photo of the 1941 World Series Champion New York Yankees on the cover. Sold for a mere 20cents in its day, the 46-page magazine boasts the authentic signatures from the aforementioned five players on it cover in either blue or black ink. The overall condition of the magazine is good, although some creases and discoloration due to water stains are present on the binding and on some of the inside pages.
