On Nov. 23, 2002, the No. 4-ranked USC Trojans football team walloped cross-town rival UCLA by the score of 52-21. USC fifth-year senior quarterback Carson Palmer stole the show by throwing for five touchdown passes including two in the opening five minutes of the game! This lot includes an actual game ball from that massacre that Palmer – who was named the 2002 Heisman Trophy winner the next month – has signed in black fine-point marker. The Nike 3005 Collegiate style football shows substantial game use and the signature has faded considerably over time. Palmer added his uniform number (“#3”) underneath his signature.
