Vintage ticket stub from the early days of the New York American League New York Yankee franchise when they were known as the Highlanders, between 1903 and 1912. Stub can be dated to this period as Frank J. Farrell is printed on the front as team president. Farrell co-owned the Highlanders(Yankees) from 1903 when the team was purchased and moved from Baltimore, until 1915 when it was sold to Jacob Rupert. The Highlanders(Yankees) left Hilltop Park after the 1912 season and then went on to play at the Polo Grounds until Yankee Stadium was built in 1923. Pavilion ticket stub measures 1 1/8" by 2 7/8". Stub has been torn in half at one time and taped back together with a 3/4" piece of tape across the center. Ticket has been framed and matted using "Yankee blue" suede to a size of 9 1/8" by 9 1/8". Despite the flaws, all front printing very easily readable.
