As part of its 50th anniversary celebration in 1998, NASCAR polled a group of motor sports experts to select the fifty greatest drivers epitomizing NASCAR's first half-century of accomplishments and growth. This very special lithograph was produced as part of the celebration to honor those chosen. From pioneer drivers racing on the Daytona Beach Road Course and dirt ovals to today's era of flashy colors and screaming engines running on speedways across the nation - they are the lineage of NASCAR's very best. Some drivers had long and storied careers. Others had brief but spectacular ones. All are legends. The drivers who appear on this lithograph include Herb Thomas, Buck Baker, Tim Flock, Junior Johnson, Lee Petty, and NASCAR's first champion - Red Byron. Challengers like Cotton Owens, Ralph Earnhardt, and LeeRoy Yarbrough. Giants Richard Petty, David Pearson, Bobby Allison, and Ray Henrick. The New Generation - A.J. Foyt, Neil Bonnett, Benny Parsons, and Darrell Waltrip. Future Legends, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliot, and Rusty Wallace. And many more! During an extraordinary three-day period at Speedweek '98, all 34 of the living drivers honored on this litho gathered at Daytona and signed this very limited edition. Never before had the autographs of so many of the greatest NASCAR legends been captured on one unique piece. Printed on the very finest 80lb. Teton felt cover acid free paper.
