You know you're first-tier royalty when you snag the sweet spot on a baseball between the likes of Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker. Such is the case here with a wonderful Babe Ruth autograph on a handsomely shellacked Macgregor Official League ball. The Ruth is the strongest signature, but only barely better than powerful penmanship from Cobb and Speaker on two opposing panels. The ball itself is elegantly presentable and basically problem free, with only a modest scuff above Tris's signature and barely discernible cracking on some of the shellacked panels. Adding to the overall prize is a stunning 8-by-10 vintage photograph of the three Hall of Famers apparently chumming around at a sporting event at a time when all three seemed to be in splendid post-career health.
