The world's of two all-time great sports legends collided when Muhammad Ali presented Julius "Dr. J" Erving with this pair of his obviously well used training gloves. These red Cleto Reyes training gloves were favored by Ali in the late 1970's. The gloves show exceptional usage wear. Before gifting them to the Doc, Ali added a large and dark black marker inscription, "You Are The Greatest, Muhammad Ali" to the left glove, and "To Dr. J" to the right glove. Ali's vintage writing rates 10 out of 10. This pair of gloves has incredible crossover appeal to collectors and fans of both hoops and the sweet science. Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
