The late Bill Gallo was a longtime cartoonist and newspaper columnist for the New York Daily News. He drew caricatures of sports figures for decades. This lot includes a very rare official American League (Budig) baseball upon which Gallo drew in red felt marker a portrait of former heavyweight champion of the world Muhammad Ali. Gallo entitled the Ali portrait “The Greatest” and even signed one panel of the baseball. What’s more, Muhammad Ali himself has signed the baseball on the sweet spot in blue ink. Both signatures are solid and rate 9/10 in our book. A very unique piece of sports memorabilia!

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
