The great champion wrote this typewritten letter on his own stationery in March of 1992, thanking Dundee for his recent attendance at a 50th birthday celebration for Ali. The letter includes extraordinary personal content, including a tongue-in-cheek observation from The Champ that Dundee's participation at the party was a significant sacrifice "for someone like you, who is as great as I am." Ali also calls Dundee one of his favorites and later thanks him for his support of the United Negro College Fund, which Ali championed for many years. It finishes with a standout black ballpoint Muhammad Ali signature on a letter that is in solid Nr-Mt condition. The mailing envelope, also Ali stationery, is also included, with a Kalamazoo, Michigan postmark and some extraneous writing apparently unrelated to the question or simply for internal filing purposes.
Comes with LOA from the Dundee family.
