The 1962 movie "Safe at Home" was rushed to theaters on the heels of the New York Yankees remarkable championship season in 1961, in which Mickey Mantle and teammate Roger Maris captivated the baseball world with their epic home run race. Offered is the highly popular movie poster for the Columbia Pictures production. Copyrighted in 1962, the poster features outstanding graphics with Mantle and Maris side by side. The one sheet poster measures 27" by 41" with typical fold lines, remaining in attractive EX-MT condition. Also included are five 11" by 14" lobby cards, two of which are the coveted title cards. One of the title cards has a missing corner section, while the other is EX-MT. Other lobby cards range from EX-EX/MT with one having minor tape stains at the borders.
