The late Mickey Mantle owned New York from his arrival in pinstripes in 1951 to his retirement from baseball following the ’68 season. “The Mick,” as he was known, launched a total of 536 round-trippers during his illustrious career and helped the Bronx Bombers win 12 American League pennants and seven World Series titles. This lot features a slightly soiled Official American League (Brown) baseball that Mantle signed across the sweet spot in beautiful blue ink. A terrific signature, as always, from Mickey.
