Mickey Mantle was, quite simply, one of the best baseball players of his generation and one of the greatest members ever of the New York Yankees organization. A rookie in 1951, Mantle would play 18 seasons with the Bronx Bombers and finish his Hall of Fame career in 1968 with 536 home runs, 1,509 runs batted in and a career batting average of .298. Mantle signed this official American League (Brown) baseball with a special inscription that reads: “Merry Christmas Mickey Mantle ‘89.” The signature is penned beautifully in blue ink and rates a strong 8-9/10.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes Certificate of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron. Mantle and "Moose" were close friends and appeared at dozens of autograph shows together in the 1980's.
