Compelling 9-by-7-inch black and white photograph that features a 9/10 Babe Ruth autograph with date and personalization, a piece that was part of the historic auction of the Barry Halper Collection at Sotheby's in the fall of 1999. The inscription reads: To My Friend Otto Floto (the other person in the photograph) From "Babe" Ruth May 18th, 1925. According to information provided on the back of the frame, the photo was taken on a roof of Yankee Stadium on May 18, 1925; stamping on the back of the photo itself denotes The Christy Walsh Syndicate, with a New York address. With attractive off-white and light gray matting, the overall dimensions come to 16-by-14 inches with ornate 1-inch frame, protected by plexiglass.
