Nifty pairing of commemorative plates, each housed in an attractive, glass-covered ornate 12-inch square frame. The Willie Mays Gartlan 10-inch diameter plate is the "Famous Catch" edition with artwork by Ron Lewis, with imprinting on the back of the plate indicating No. 426 available only through the year of issue in 1991. The Magic Johnson Gartlan plate is also 10 inches in diameter and includes a bold, gold Sharpie autograph from Johnson on the front of the Robert Winslow artwork. The plate is numbered 1,172/1,987 in the "Gold Rim" Collection from 1987. No difficulties are visible from either plate; the two display boxes are identical, revealing only a few scratches in some of the ornate work on the front.
