One of the NBA's last true player rivalries is celebrated here with a tremendous grouping of a dual-signed basketball and individual signed images of each Hall of Fame hardcourt legend. In the 1990's, Upper Deck Authenticated sold these exclusive official Spalding basketballs with massive Magic and Bird autographs in almost perfect 9/10 gold paint pen. There is also an inscription "Barcelona '92" below Magic's signature that looks like Bird's penmanship. It was the reuniting of these two ultra competitive superstars from different backgrounds, styles of play and team cultures - blue-collar and hard-nosed Celtics vs. the "Showtime" razzle-dazzle Lakers - on the 1992 Olympic team that really solidified a lifelong friendship and respect for one another as players and human beings. Comes with COA from UDA and nice green ball bag in original box.
A bonus to this lot is two 8x10 inch 1992 "Dream Team" photos of Larry and Magic, each signed by the pictured player. Bird's autograph is in bright 9-10/10 silver pen and is backed by an LOA from Larry the Legend himself. Magic's autograph is in perfect 10/10 royal blue pen and comes with a COA from UDA in it's original UDA box.
