Lou Gehrig Signed & Inscribed C. 1927 New York Yankees Vintage Photograph with Babe Ruth (Gehrig Signs for Ruth!) – PSA/DNA & Beckett LOAs

Offered is a unique vintage photograph of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig dates to the 1927 Yankees, considered one of the most dominant teams in sports history. The image brings to life the unparalleled talent and camaraderie between these two Hall of Famers. The two Murderer’s Row headliners are pictured shaking hands and smiling at each other. Beneath Ruth is an inscription from Gehrig, as well as his signature. What makes this piece truly special and unique is that Gehrig has signed Ruth’s signature underneath his own. For all we know, it's the only known circumstance of this ever happening! Both the inscription and two autographs in Gehrig’s hand were signed in 7/10 black ink. The photo itself could be off the original negative, but due to the nice matte and frame work already put in to this piece, we opted not to open up the back to check. (Might be worth it as even a Type II designation would add a lot of value.) Both PSA/DNA and Beckett have provided full LOAs for the penmanship.
