This famous photograph captures the two great sluggers together during their 1927-28 barnstorming tour. The "Bustin' Babes" and "Larrupin Lou's" tour was wildly successful and provided fans in cities without major league teams a rare opportunity to see the great Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in action. A largely profitable trip it is said that Lou Gehrig earned more on these barnstorming trips than he made while playing for the Yankees. This photo was a promotional item distributed in conjunction with the tour. In the upper right corner above Gehrig's pre-printed facsimile signature is his authentic inscription "To John With Kindest Regards Cordially Lou Gehrig." Gehrig's elegant writing has been graded 8 by PSA/DNA. Apart from a small chip off the lower left corner the image itself is EX-MT with superb contrast and crispness. The back bears the stamp of Christy Walsh Management. An aesthetic marvel from the hand of "The Iron Horse". LOA from PSA/DNA (Grade 8). PSA/DNA Grade 8
