This lot contains a total of 8 wire photos from the 1940's including the Bambino welcoming American Legion baseball champions receiving celebrity plaques playing golf and bowling in addition to 2 Ruth related wire photos. One shows equipment man Pete Sheehey at the Babes locker in Yankee Stadium just one day after the Bambino's passing and the other shows Mrs. Ruth and several New York Yankee ballplayers including Dimaggio at the dedication of the Ruth Memorial Bronx Plaque at Yankee Stadium in 1949.
