Offered here is a signed game-worn home jersey from New York Yankees pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera’s final season. During his 18 year career, Rivera racked up 5 World Series Championships, 13 All-Star appearances, and led the league in saves on three separate occasions, creating quite the resume for himself.
Offered is a final season game worn relic from the best closer to ever pitch for the Yankees from the May 4, 2013 matchup against the Oakland A's. Although Rivera didn't get the save against the A's, he was still able to finish his sixth hitter off after giving up two runs to help the Yankes seal the deal with a final score of 4-2. The classic Yankees home jersey dawns pinstripes and is signed in beautiful silver marker on the back in the center of the ‘2’ in Rivera’s number 42 with ‘2013 Game Used” inscribed at the bottom. The jersey has the famed "NY" on the left and "42" on the verso where the reliever's autograph and inscription are placed. The Majestic label and size 46 and 2013 hangtags are sewn in the lower left tail. A team barcode sticker is afffixed below along with the MLB and Steiner holographic stickers. The jersey shows light use which is typical for the closer who only faced six batters that game. The jersey comes with an LOA from Yankees-Steiner Collectables, Beckett and MLB Auth.
