Derek Jeter is one of the most well known names in baseball, with a two decade long career and a plethora of accolades to go along with it. Seven years after his retirement, the 14x All Star and 5x World Champion continues to lead the Yankees in career hits, doubles, games played, stolen bases, and even more. Jeter will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this coming September. The gray jersey sports ‘NEW YORK’ embroidered on the chest and Jeter’s retired number ‘2’ on the back. This jersey also includes two patches on the shoulders to commemorate the final season played at the original Yankees Stadium, the one on the left sleeve showcasing the first and last years played in the park, and the one patch on the right sleeve made in honor of the All-Star game being played there for the final time as well. Featured on the left sleeve is a black armband that is stitched on the jersey to pay tribute to Yankees and broadcast legend Bobby Murcer who passed away in July of that year. A "Majestic" label is located on the left front tail, as are a ‘48’ size tag, a 2008 year tag, and an official Steiner holographic sticker confirming the jersey’s game use. The jersey also comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Yankee-Steiner Collectables.
