Offered here is a pair of Endicott Johnson Corporation children’s baseball cleats presented in an EJ Corp. box signed by Joe DiMaggio.
Hall of Famer DiMaggio, a baseball and cultural icon, was a 13 time all-star for the New York Yankees, winning nine World Series titles, three American League MVP awards and had the mind boggling 56 game hitting streak.
In sports marketing and endorsements, these cleats are a very early version of a “signature shoe” brand, long before Michael Jordan and Nike sneakers teamed up. There a large image of DiMaggio gracing the original box (in very good condition), with Yankee Stadium looming in the background.
DiMaggio has boldly signed the lid of the shoe box in blue marker. These cleats show no wear and the bottom of each is signed by Joe in his classic penmanship. Plus Joe has also signed the back of the “baseball card-like” tag tied to the shoes!
