Impressive 1977 Reggie Jackson New York Yankees game used and autographed home run Adirondack baseball bat. Jackson's first season with the Yanks came along with a large contract and something to prove with a new team. Jackson would lead the team to the World Series Championship and received World Series MVP honors in '77. The bat shows excellent signs of game use with bat marks throughout and a slightly cracked bat knob. Stitch impressions and bat rack marks can also be noticed on the game used bat. "44" has been written in black marker on the knob, denoting Jackson's number. Reggie autographed the barrel of the bat along with an impressive inscription reading "To Ricky, my brother's son HR #29th and 30th 30+100 vs. Det 1977" denoting that his 30th home run of the season was also his 100th RBI for the '77 campaign. Also inscribed on the barrel is "44", "HOF 93 Mr. October", and "Jan 22/05". An iconic bat from Jackson's first season in New York where he led the team to another World Series Championship. Jackson, of course, earned his nickname, "Mr. October", from his three home run game in the '77 World Series, the same year that he hit two out of the park with this bat. The bat measures 35 inches and weighs 36.6 ounces. The lot is accompanied by a full PSA/DNA LOA (Cert. #: 1B06599).
