After President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963, people around the world mourned and tried to come to terms with JFK's shocking death.
The devestated Kennedy family stood by as the funeral procession took place. The youngest member of the Kennedy family, three-year-old John F Kennedy Jr., or "John-John" as he was known, made an unforgettable gesture, a tribute to his late father. As the casket left St. Matthew’s Cathedral on its way to the President’s final resting place, JFK Jr. stepped forward and raised his small hand in salute, an image that broke the hearts of millions.
Here we present an orginal Type I UPI photograph of that historic moment. PSA/DNA authentication.
