The 2000 season was the beginning of a new Lakers dynasty that very well could have extended well beyond 3 championships. With a budding super star in Kobe Bryant and a seasoned dominant big man in Shaq, this Lakers team had the cornerstones of championship pedigree written all over it. The NBA MVP, Shaquille O'Neal averaged 29.7 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3 blocks per game. Kobe led the backcourt and averaged 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. The two stars' efforts would eventually culminate with the inevitable championship victory over the Indiana Pacers. O'Neal's Finals averages were a whopping 38 points and 16.7 rebounds per game and would earn him the 2000 Finals MVP honors.
Featured here is a 2000 Los Angeles Lakers 14K Gold and diamond riddled Championship ring that was ordered by O'Neal and gifted to one of his friends from his inner circle. The Lakers team logo sits atop a pillow of diamonds on the top of the ring.
