In 1962, the San Francisco Giants, under the direction of skipper Alvin Dark, posted an overall record of 103-62 to win the National League pennant by a single game over the runner-up Los Angeles Dodgers. Led by the big bats of Willie Mays (49 HR), Orlando Cepeda (35 HR) and Felipe Alou (25 HR), the Giants scored a league-leading 878 runs that season.

This lot features a team-signed San Francisco Giants Official National League (Giles) baseball from that remarkable season, even though they lost the World Series in seven games to the vaunted New York Yankees. The baseball has been signed in blue ink by 26 team members with Orlando Cepeda on the sweet spot with an Al Dark stamp as noted on the PSA LOA. Other notable signatures on the ball include Hall of Famers Mays, McCovey and Marichal.

Full LOA from PSA/DNA (who states that Al Dark on sweet spot is stamped) - Autograph grades PSA 7, Ball Grade 5 with overall PSA grade 6.
