When Kansas City Chiefs selected Patrick Mahomes II with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 Draft, the young gunslinger out of Texas Tech had to wait a full season before taking over as the starting QB. He exploded on the scene as an NFL sophomore, putting up video-game numbers (50 TD passes and 5,097 yards) in Andy Reid’s high-octane offense and winning league MVP honors. Fans, teammates and even opposing players stood mesmerized by the 23-year-old’s talent, creativity, and pizzazz. His third year did not start quite as promising, but it sure did end well. Mahomes led the Chiefs all the way to the Super Bowl where he orchestrated a thrilling 4th quarter comeback against the 49ers to give KC its second ever title. Now that his fourth season is concluded after taking the Chiefs to a second consecutive Super Bowl (albeit with a loss this time around), we have all come to the realization that Mahomes isn’t going any where for a long time. There are several color variations with different limited print runs, but only one Gold #304 Jersey Auto exists and you’re looking at it. The embedded swatch piece is a coveted NFL shield logo patch from one of Mahomes’ rookie season jerseys.
