Knute Rockne, Notre Dame's iconic football coach, passed away in a tragic plane crash at the young age of 43 in 1931.
Here is a cut Rockne autograph beautifully displayed in a frame, bookended by the crisp Notre Dame Collegiate Collection football cards of Coach Rockne and his Fighting Irish player George Gipp. Both Rockne and Gipp became etched in sports fan's minds from the "win just one for the Gipper" speech in the 1940 film Knute Rockne-All American.
