Giannis Antetokounmpo. A name that every basketball fan sees quite often due to his current dominance in the NBA but will always have trouble spelling or pronouncing! With back-to-back MVP seasons, Giannis has been taking over the league with his impressive 7-foot stature and 7’3” wingspan. Growing up in Greece with parents of Nigerian descent, Antetokounmpo found basketball to be his first love. Drafted 15th in the 2013 NBA draft, the Bucks selected a one-of-a-kind talent who has blossomed into being the best player in the entire league for two years in a row.
Offered in this lot is a 2019-20 Giannis Antetokounmpo Milwaukee Bucks game worn home jersey. The jersey has been photo-matched by Resolution Photomatch to the Bucks game on January 4th, 2020 versus the San Antonio Spurs. Giannis led the team to a 127-118 victory over their opponents dropping 32 points, 8 rebounds, one assist, and one steal. The Bucks finished with a league best 52-17 record earning them the number one spot in the Eastern Conference. Giannis would go on to also win the MVP Award and DPOY award for the 2019-20 season, the third player to win both awards simultaneously after Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon. The size 48 + 6 length jersey shows signs of game use but remains in excellent condition. “1/4/20” has been inscribed on the NBA Authentic jock tag denoting the date, presumably by the Milwaukee Bucks equipment manager. A black stripe can be observed on the left shoulder of the jersey honoring the late former NBA Commissioner, David Stern, who unfortunately passed away during the 2019-20 NBA season. The “Harley-Davidson” logo is affixed to the left chest of the jersey as it is the Bucks official jersey sponsor. The “Nike” swoosh is sewed in on the upper right chest area. “Fear The Deer” is also patched in right above the jock tag on the jersey. A beautiful gamer from Giannis’ 2nd MVP Season and first DPOY worthy season. This lot is accompanied by a full LOA from Resolution Photomatching (Cert. #: 426985).
