Paul Pierce cemented himself as one of the greatest Boston Celtics players long ago. He would later be traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2013 when the Celtics decided to start rebuilding. Pierce was given the nickname “The Truth” by long-time friend and rival Shaquille O’Neal after dropping 42 points in a tight loss against the Los Angeles Lakers. After a lengthy career in Boston, he became a “hired gun” for several teams around the league during his final four seasons. In 2017, Pierce signed a one-day contract with Boston so he could retire as a Celtic. His jersey, number 34, now hangs in the rafters of TD Garden next to some of the greatest to ever play the game.

Offered here is a game worn relic from Pierce’s playing days in Boston. A pair of 2011-12 game worn, dual signed Nike Air Legacy III exclusive basketball shoes, signed in beautiful 9-10/10 silver Sharpie. These sneakers have been style matched to April 13th, 2012 in a Celtics’ loss against the Toronto Raptors, are a part of Pierce’s signature shoe line. On this date, he led the Celtics in scoring with 18 points.

Comes from the personal collection of a Toronto equipment manager. Also accompanied by a Beckett LOA for the autographs.
