This lot features an absolutely breathtaking horizontal image of Lou Gehrig throwing his bat on his follow through as he explodes out of the batters box. This stunning photo was taken during spring training and is one of the best Gehrig photos we've encountered that demonstrates his graceful swing. Issued and stamped on the reverse by ACME, this museum worthy photo displays with crystal clarity and save for a very soft crease in the upper left quadrant is almost too good to be true. The 6.5x8.5" photo has been encapsulated in a PSA/DNA TYPE I holder (84248954).
