Featured here is an outstanding piece of game used lumber from one of baseball's iron horse hall of famers, Stan Musial. During the 1961 campaign, Musial's 20th, he would continue to defy father time and bat .288 only to age like fine wine the following season with .330, good for top 3 in the league.  By the time the 1963 campaign concluded, Musial would hang up his bat and glove for good and held a whopping 17 MLB records, including most career base hits.

Musial's uncracked Hillerich and Bradsby model M159 bat exhibits some use with several ball and stitch impressions evident on the barrel.  Black ink transfers from the ball contact are also noticeable on the barrel as well as several visible green bat rack streaks on the handle. The bat exhibits typical surface staining from the era and the general use and scuff marks definitely stand out on this piece of game used treasure.  Model "M159" is stamped into the knob and the weight "31" is hand written in pencil along with Stan the Man's number "6" in black marker on the knob. This bat has been deemed GU 7 by PSA/DNA and comes with a full letter of authenticity from John Taube (1B05680)
