The Los Angeles Rams made Jack Youngblood their 1st round selection in the 1971 NFL draft and the star defensive end proudly sported the yellow horns his entire 14-year career. A well-conditioned model of healthy and consistency, Youngblood retired after the 1984 season holding franchise records for consecutive games (201), playoff starts (17) and playoff sacks (8.5). “Blood”, as he was appropriately nicknamed for his toughness and intimidating presence, is the Rams’ second all-time leader in sacks (unofficially) at 151.5 behind only Deacon Jones. Twice he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year, five times he earned First-Team All-Pro honors, and he made seven trips to the Pro Bowl.

In 2001, Jack Youngblood was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and this is his very own induction ring made of 14-karat gold by Balfour. A large real diamond rests on a brilliant blue stone surrounded by "PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME” on the face. "DEFENSIVE END" along with a raised image of the Pro Football Hall of Fame building in Canton, OH, appear on one shank, with "JACK YOUNGBLOOD", "ELECTED 2001", and a raised image of three football players on the other shank. "BAL 14K" is faintly stamped inside the band. The massive size 16 ring (40g), displaying ample wear, presents very nicely despite a tiny crack on the blue stone. It comes in its original gray Balfour box with a letter of provenance from “Blood” himself.
