Playing second fiddle to the 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan autographed rookie (Lot 11) from Part 2 of the Tim Gallagher Collection is this awesome Jordan signed rookie #8 sticker card from the wildly popular set. MJ's strong blue marker signature dates to the mid-late 1980's shortly after the card was produced. Beckett has graded the autoograph an 8 out of 10, a fair assessment. The card is clearly off-center and there is light surface wear. However, its strong colors, razor-sharp corners and straight edges more than make up for any visible flaws. The four BGS sub-grades add up to 28, meaning it should have a 7 GPA if all were weighted equally. But Beckett gives more importance to centering and surface, bringing down its weighted grade to a relatively undeserving 5.5 EX+. If you aren't lucky enough to win the big boy, this is a darn good consolation prize!
